Kindergarten program – “Concert in the Kindergarten”
The program brings the kindergarten children the best of the classical repertoire in preparation for two sessions with live music. Through this program, we seek to deepen the integration of classical music in an optimal way in the day-to-day life of the kindergarten. The process of preparing the children for encounters with live music is the key to the success of the concert, making it the culmination of an educational process, rather than a one-time, fleeting event. The program brings to the kindergarten children the players of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra accompanied by a professional conductor for an intimate and exciting concert that takes place
in the kindergarten, where the children learn to know the repertoire and instruments of the orchestra up close. Program stages:

The “Sounds of the Big Band” program for elementary schools Jazz is a musical genre, created in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. The roots of jazz are in African-American music based on multiple rhythms. This genre combines these rhythms with musical elements from Western music, formal structures and the use of western musical instruments. Improvisation is another element associated with jazz music, although as a musical element in itself – it exists in all musical cultures in the world. In the melodic context, the extensive use of the blues scale should be mentioned. The program “Sounds of the Big Band” reveals a selection of works that present the various elements characteristic of the genre.
