Since its beginning, the choir has\r\nbeen a unique artistic educational enterprise that has become one of the pillars of musical\r\neducational activity in the city of Haifa. The choir currently has three groups: the reserve choir\r\nages 7-12, the representative choir ages 12-18 and the Bat-Shir Musical Ensemble ages 18-30.\r\nThe choirs perform at major city events, choir gatherings, national and international\r\ncompetitions and festivals. The choir participates in various concerts and events, in which it\r\nperforms original works and also participates in master classes with the best musicians and\r\ncreators in Israel. From April 2012 Bat-Shir Choirs They became the house choirs of the Haifa\r\nSymphony Orchestra.\r\nIn January 2017, the choir went to perform in China at the invitation of the Chinese\r\ngovernment.\r\nDuring the month of November 2019, the choir performed in a series of concerts throughout\r\nthe country with the Philharmonic Orchestra in the project &#8220;Requiem for War&#8221; conducted by\r\nYoel Levy\r\nDuring the month of August 2021, the Bat Shir Choir performed in a joint concert with the Haifa\r\nSymphony Orchestra in a premiere performance of the piece &#8220;Ha&#8217;aretz &#8211; a symphonic poem for\r\norchestra and choir&#8221; written especially by Aharon Haralp, for it and for the symphony orchestra\r\nas part of a call to encourage Israeli composers.\r\nThe choir participated in the performance of the operas &#8220;Tosca&#8221;, &#8220;La Boheme&#8221; and &#8220;Carmen&#8221; as\r\npart of the Haifa Opera.\r\nMoreover, the choir performed in 5 \u2018concerts from the films\u2019 throughout the country together\r\nwith the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">During the 21-22 season, the choir appeared with the symphony orchestra in a special program\r\nas part of the classical series, performing Mozart&#8217;s Requiem under the direction of Stanley\r\nSperber, who was the musical director of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.\r\nAlso in the 22-23 season, the Bat Shir Choir is planning an extensive activity in collaboration\r\nwith the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Haifa Opera.\r\nThe choir has become very popular in Israel and performs at leading cultural events together\r\nwith the philharmonic orchestra, performances before the president of the country and other\r\nstate events<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"391\" class=\"wp-image-395\" src=\"http:\/\/hso.sks.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/\u05d1\u05ea\u05e9\u05d9\u05e81-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hso-haifa.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/\u05d1\u05ea\u05e9\u05d9\u05e81-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hso-haifa.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/\u05d1\u05ea\u05e9\u05d9\u05e81-2-520x318.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The &#8220;Bat-Shir&#8221; Choir Bat-Shir was established in 2000 by the municipality of Haifa.
